Im looking to get a procharger p-1sc with intercooler for my 03 mach 1, I was wondering how many pounds of boost would be safe to run with the stock block.

i've been looking into the same kit for my 04 mach. Through the research i've done, 8 psi is the most you will want to go to be safe. and that is if you have a safe tune. when i get mine i'm going to run 6 psi at first so the engine will hold up until i can get beefed up internals. It just depends how much you drive it and how long you want it before you change more things.

I was thinking the same thing. I talked to the shop where i will be having it tuned and they said 8psi would not be a problem at all. They told me the most they would go would be 12, but to me that sounds a little to high. So i think im going to go with 8 and a safe tune for now.

yes, that would be smarter than 12 psi LOL. with 8 psi you will be putting down alot of power that you will be happy with. Is your car stock?

just installed the p1sc-2 on an 01 saleen. Stock block, running it at 10 psi. Made 426/425. U should be ok at that. Plus, doesnt the mach one have forged internals already?? Im not sure, but i thought they did??

from what i understand the mach one and cobra engine are essentially the same, however the mach has non forged internals (because it is N/A so they cut some cost on using regular internals) and the cobra engines (that are s/c) have forged...

that's what I've always thought, correct me if I'm wrong

Yeah no forged internals for the mach, at least i know the pistons and rods are not. I have herd from someone that the crank is but im not 100% sure, kinda bad seeing how I own one and everything.

ya 5-speed is forged and auto is cast flywheel. 8 psi is what i would use if i ever supercharged it
