Default what's the difference?

what's the difference between a mach 1 and a cobra before 03? they both have the 32v 4.6, so what's the difference? is it mostly cosmetics or is there a difference in numbers too?

96 -98 for the teksid I beleive, then ford started making them in house, so at first they were aluminum, then cast iron.

I do believe it also has a different cam profile and possibly a slightly different setup in the heads.

Also, I remeber seeing a LONG time ago, like right when they came out, that the MANUAL verision of the car has a forged shortblock like the 03/04 cobra, where the automatic does not, hence the different redline for the 2 cars???
