RE: launching nitto drags?
i have the same exact setup and 4.10's in my room waiting to be put in. I just got the 555r's and I would rev it around 3-3500 rpms. Dont just dump the clutch or you will spin. I use the clutch to adjust the power put to the wheels so what I do is let the clutch out 3/4 the way and it may spin a little then full throttle as I let the clutch all the way out. Pratice it a bunch of times somwhere untill you get it jsut right. I dont like to heat up my tires because I need them to last longer.

Then whats the point of nittos if you're not going to heat them up. The compound of the nitto d/r is specifically made to be heated up. Its pretty much just a street tire without being heated up.

Stock... i was right around 2.20's A few 2.18-9's. Ironically I had my better times with the worse 60's.
We'll find out on nitto's next week. I'm hoping for 2.00's max.

RE: launching nitto drags?
ive got 275/40r17 555r's on mine with stock gears..but its an auto. i just turn them over a few times to clean them off. I used to stall mine up a little bit on take off but i found i get a better launch with out so much spinning by just holding the break enough to keep me from rolling and then slaming the gas on green light. it spins very little unless i just intenisionally make it spin.
