So I have had my Pro 5.0 installed for a few weeks now and the whistling is really getting on my nerves. I'm am hoping it is normal for it to be this loud. It is only loud with the transmission is actually engaged (doesnt do it when I push the clutch in or am in neutral) and it seems to get louder the higher the RPM goes. I put the factory middle boot on and it didnt seem to help much. Anybody else have this problem or can suggest a fix? Thanks.

Hey, I did not get the 5.0 (got the tri-ax), but they look about the same to me...

anyway, I have no extra noise, and I love the way the car shifts. That and changing the fluid really made a difference.

It seems like it might be even more quiet now.

I did go with this optional gasket though. http://www.stangshiftergaskets.com/

Its supposed to reduce noise on aftermarket shifters.

You have the t45 or the 3650?

Anyway, maybe try the gasket and the fluid change.

When you have the shifter off you have an easy place to add the fluid.
