When was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? Could be completely clogged if you got some bad gas.. could be tons of things.. need more info.

Could be a clogged fuel filter, that would also explain bad gas mileage you complained about on another thread.

When you say "cranks" are you saying the engine is turning over without actually starting? Depending on the year, it could be the crankshaft position sensor gone bad. If the engine actually starts and then dies then it's more than likely a fuel system issue.

apparently it was that little spring device in the fuel pressure valve core that caused the problem. the fuel was spraying from the pvc when I tried to hit the gas pedal while cranking the engine... bad juju!
