Because to go the same speed you are going to be doing a higher rate of rpm's. 2.73's at 60 you may be 2000, where as 4.10 at 60 you may be around 2800.

im at 2200rpms at like 60 with 3.73's... haha
would the tranny have anything to do with it too? ive got the 3650 but guys with the T-45 and T-5's i would think may have different tranny gearing maybe???

3.73s in a sn95 car or a car with T45 tranny runs about same RPM at 70mph as a car with 4.10s and a 3650 tranny. Thats why some people say 3.73 and some people say 4.10

go with 3.73's if you like the highways. 4.10's are great off the line, but WILL slow you down on the highway. and not to mention more money for gas.

dude i want to order my damn gears already. i wanted 373s bc i like the high way and in a couple months might get a kb. but than people are tellin me forget them go with the 410s. GET THE 4.10s!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 3.73s, and I wish I had had the ***** to go big every day. They are not bad on gas at all (at least not much worse than the 3.73s, or not enough to worry about it). If i can come up with the money im gonna take the hit and swap again.
