Default What is the Benefit of a V8?

Ok, I have a Mustang V6 and I "want" another mustang but a GT....but I ask myself, and I ask you for your thoughts....What really is the benefit of having a V8 mustang compared to a V6 mustang if....

1.) you follow the speed laws
2.) Street driving only...no track

Think about those situations and compare a V8 to a V6 on everyday roads....what really is the benefit of having a V8 over a V6 Mustang?

The only thing I can think of is to get that awesome V8 sound that a V6 cant rally get. If anyone else has ANYTHING else please post.

if you have a GT, chances are good that you can pass the car next to you on the freeway even if they don't want you to.

and you also don't hafta put the pedal to the floor to get the car to move.

and it's 7593265276983743982637262 times more fun to drive a v8 than a v6.

you should go test drive a v8 and then you'll know the difference.

You don't have to drive over the posted speed limits to feel the power and torque of a v8.... Hell just accelerating when I get onto a highway at legal speeds brings a smile to my face... And the v8 sound is amazing too...

Yes...I agree with sound....power feel I agree with too but again it makes ZERO difference on the road following speed laws.

but it doesn't make zero difference on the road following speed laws unless you never ever accelerate. do you ever use the pedal on the right hand side of your feet?

It sure does. I think the older v6s might actually have had drums in the rear [:'(]. And there is just something about knowing there is a v8 under the hood that makes me all tingly inside. Kinda like being a trained cage fighter in a bar full of drunks looking to fight sort of thing.... And like I said, you really can enjoy the power within the limits of the law...

Drive a V8, grow a pair, then tell us how much you love it. There's nothing better than the sound of a V8 and it will change your opinion about driving forever.

But does it matter how fast you accelerate from a stop light for example when your only going to be accelerating 30-50 feet or so until reaching speed limit? Big Deal.
