Default T3650 to T45 Swap

I currently have the Tremec 3650 transmission. I bought a built T45 that is much stronger than the T3650. I would like to install the transmission. The t45 came out of a 2000 Mustang GT.

I have heard the clutch in the 99-01.5 mustangs have 10.5" clutches.... Will my clutch work on this transmission since it is an 11" clutch?

I also heard the only other difference is the backup light plug....

Any input wanted...
Thanks

Why are you wanting to swap? I always thought the 3650 is a better tranny????

Well, my t3650 has major synchronizer problems... It needs to be rebuilt, etc. I was offered a beefed up T45 so i purchased it. It was a whole lot better than the t3650 becuase it could handle more torque....and it doesn't have synchronizer problems as the t3650s are known for.

you MAY have a problem because my odometer is mechanical and attaches to the tranny. The newer mustangs have the electrical hookup. I dont know if it would be a problem on yours but you should check that out too.

the nice thing about the 3650 is you won't completely strip a gear if you miss it once

Boy I really wish you would have listened to me about the T-45. There isn't much they can do to "beef" a 45 except to replace the syncronisers. The gears are weak, and any sncys they put in there are still gonna suck.

If you have ANY opertunity to not do this I would take it. you are NOT gonna like the results. What you are doing is kinda like trying to setup a car for drag racing and swapping the cobra IRS in to replace the 8.8
