cali- emissions & exhaust???
does anyone know if upgrading exhaust/midpipe(cats) on a 2004 GT vert would affect the car if it were california emmisions?.......someone told me that a california emmisions car is hard to change.

you need to make sure that the midpipe has a CARB # or it will not be legal. technically, it is illegal to remove a working catalytic converter. I don't think there are any x-pipes with CARB #'s, only H pipes. catback is fine, though.

actually, I guess I was wrong aboot the x-pipe's legality. the magnaflow one is EX$PEN$IVE!! but 50 state legal. [&:]
