Question for all 4.6 folks

RE: Question for all 4.6 folks
Once you start making certain categories ineligible, where do you stop?
With the sheer number of members that MF has, someone is going to cry foul no matter which way you go. In the interest of keeping it simple, I would stick with it being a 4.6 contest. If you have one - you're eligible.

RE: Question for all 4.6 folks
i say no. i dont think most people would stand a chance against a roush, or saleen. i think your contest ideas are great, it's a good chance for people who don't have $20,000 plus cars to show what they've got without a high dollar car competing with it. but i also think it depends on the contest, but like said above you've got to draw the line somewhere. no offense to the saleen, roush owners. i'm just thinking whats best for the majority of people who enter these contests.

problem i have with it is that they have their own forum topic: Special Stangs. Idk w/e majority rules but I dont really like it. The gurs with the custom good looking stangs put a lot of work into their car. Saleen and Rousch owners bought one of many that all look exactly a like. Just my .02

Not sure, I just got a PM from a Roush owner inquiring if he would be eligible to enter in future contests. I told him I would leave it up yo ya'll. So, it's your call.

RE: Question for all 4.6 folks
it's just an unfair advantage. some guys spend tons of money on there car and really dont get close to what a saleen or roush has. it's unfair for that guy that spends all his time and money on his car and gets beaten by a stock saleen. you guys know how it is, most of us started out stock and every time you put a new mod on your car it feels great, you can't wait to let everyone on the forum know about it. most uf us just wouldn't stand a chance against saleens or roushs.

I would have to say no to that. Roush saleen enthusiasts bought their car like that. they had prety much no say on what kind of rims to put on their car, what kind of exhaust, what kind of supercharger. Their car doesn't really have personality like everyone here. Other people around here have their car build to their specifications and to their budjet. Sometimes they choose the right path and sometime you have too much money and go completely the wrong way. If you wanna let them into a performance competition i am sure that there are some naturally aspirated stangs on this site that would probably blow them away.
