Major engine work (change in compression ratio), head work, cam change, switching to forced induction... other things like that. You will not need a re-tune even with full bolt-ons.

Thanks for the info!...just wondering tho...Would I gain any +HP from a tune, even if it wasnt necessary? In other words, would it be worth the money per HP at this point?

Im no expert on this subject, but just some quick feedback from what I know.

Unless you have F/I or a crap load of mods, you are only going to see maybe 4-5 hp gain from a dyno tune. In other words not worth the money at all at this point.

Cars that have F/I that get a dyno, from what Ive read, gain like 10-14 hp from the tune, but that is also because they NEED it.

Im paying 550$ and then after that its 250$ for any retunes as my mods increase. Also Im not shure but I have been told to expect alot from a Dyno tune from the guys Im going to. I will be tuned in on Saturday so I will post up my numbers after.

My car: 1997 mustang gt 5spd

mods:
Cut air box w/k&n
Accufab 75mm t-body
Professional products plenum (ported even more by me)
Mac ceramic long tubes
Dr. gas offroad X
Full mandrel system w/flowmaster 40's
king cobra clutch
MGW shifter

I hope it makes a difference, because I dont have any cat's the car is running like poop. So I am tunning, my car is like yours, but it will probly gain more from the tune because it is a 97' and the 98' had more power because of the computer. So I have a bit more room for improvement to catch up.
