mine does same thing i have 3650 and tri-ax and ever since i installed it in the instructions it says to cut a piece of the sound deadoner from under the rear seat and i didnt do it...so mine makes noises mainly when my car isnt warmed up and say im doin 60 and i have in 5th gear and should be in 4th i hear it alot....maybe one day ill be less lazy and goto a junk yard and get a square of sound deadoning material from a junk car....

mine whines like a **** when downshifting from 3-2 or 2-1 at a higher rpm (like above 3500) just figured it was normal for the pony...

Mine too, I have been driving BMW's for the last few years and I actually like the loud tranny that sounds like it is working.
