From all the cars / sound clips I've heard I prefer H pipes for chambered mufflers and X pipes for strait through mufflers. My opinion is for catted only, as I dont like catless.

I'd say get the H-pipe for deepness and a little loudness
Then the X-pipe for loudness and not really much deepness. Just depends on what you want.

Well i have read that the h-pipe is useless after 3000 rpm cause the exhaust bypasses the "h" and the x pipe will give you more tq up top as the h-pipe gives you the low end tq.

I've always heard that X-pipe gives like 1-2hp more than H. But its nothing your gonna notice.

I would have to disagree, I have H pipes on my Bullitt and I get the most power at 3000 + rpm, I have never driven a mustang with X pipes so I cannot compare the two, I am just saying I feel no loss of power and or torque after 3000 rpm, quite the opposite in fact

i'd go h with your set up. ive got magnapacks with an or x and when i hit the gas it screams, but at low rpm's it sounds nice and deep. have you ever heard any mid pipes with flows? i don't know what would sound best, i would think an h. good luck
