Default Stick V.S Auto Ratio

If there were two bone stock exact cars, one stick and one auto how much more hp does the auto need for it to be about even?

Thanks,

im pretty sure the auto usually makes up for itself, there was an article, a guy had a new edge stang and he ran a 14.4 with the auto, then he manually shifted the auto and ran a 14.2, so I think it's pretty damn close believe it or not

oh o.k. It just seems that everyone always makes it seem like autos are so bad when it comes to racing.

o not when it comes to drag, they're better for drag believe it or not, less driver error, a torque convertor puts you ahead of a manual. In theory a manual could run a better 1/4 mile time but thats with an amazing driver, without making a mistake, 1/4 is measured in milliseconds.
