Because autos loose so much more rwhp, & ft-lbs, I would say go w/4.30's. 3.73's wouldn't do squat. He'd get more gain from them in a 5spd than in a auto.

Thank you for the replies guys, I really appreciate it. I am going to go with the 3.90's. I don't think the 4.10's are for me considering it is a daily driver and I also use it in our notorious Canadian winters, not to mention my 3 to 5 road trips per year. The rest of the time it is city driving.

One question though, what are DR's???

You don't have too. The DR's just let you get more of that HP to the road. With the 3.90's you'll be a little more likely to spin, so the DR's will help with better traction. The downside is less traction in wet or snowy conditions due to less ability to channel away the "wetness".
