Sounds like a good plan so far. SHM is too inconsistent with their quality and customer service is very lacking. I called and spoke with them when I was researching my engine build and I was NOT impressed. What is your goal and what kind of car do you want??? 1/4 mile daily driver? Ley me know...

SO long as you stay away from patriot I think you will be happy with almost any aftermarket 2v head. I wish I had a set.

MPH, VT and Fox Lake Racing are the only companies "I" would spend my $$ with. Patriot is garbage.

mainly a "enhanced" driver, probably will see the 1/4 mile track once -- This may be driver error but here is my motivation behind all of this: partly it's just fun, but mainly I was racing my wife she was in her car (the stang) and I was in my truck.....look at my sig. the numbers are accurate. I tore that GT up from left to right, until we hit 70 then she pulled from my diesel. I can't have the "sports" car being taken by a little diesel truck!
