A stroker kit has nothing to do with bore size. If you look at those kits you can use a standars bore and still get "302". It's a longer stroke rod, etc to get the extra cubes. The stroker kit is just not cost efficient for the nominal gains. Also, if you read on those kits, "they must be balanced" which will add to your costs. A real gain for these lil engines and to also achieve extra cubes, a big bore kit is the way to go, but you better have a very competent builder and machinist to do the work.

^yeah good point,
what is the max you can take these 281's to?
without getting the cyl walls to thin etc...
