Default RE: Synthetic oil

4X the price? Who cares?

Changing the oil myself saves me money.

But I'll pay the price for the Moble 1 because I know I'll be required to change the oil less frequently.

Time is also money.

I once had one of those instant oil change places cross-threaded my oil plug in my old RX-7.

That was discouraging.

I also know someone who had an oil change and they left the rubber ring from the old filter on the block.

So he ended up with 2 rings on the filter. His Jeep started spewing oil after 20 minutes of driving.

In both cases the oil-change places paid to have the damage fixed.

But I know it was a time-consuming process getting satisfaction.

Time is also money.
