Default weird vaccum leak

this all started last night....2 hoses near the back of the engine were cracked....one wasnt even attached! Its a black hose with a red stipe going into a little canister and a hose that goes in the plenum....have no idea what it is but by fixing it, it fixed the clicking in the center console. I still have a leak though because i can hear it.....especially in reverse and in park. It sounds like it is comming from either my mufflers or the same spot....hoses go in behind the engine so it is hard to see. Any ideas? Whats most common in this area?

well the first leak you fixed was the one that controls your a/c controls. They hook toa canister that holds vacuum so you can go from vent to defrost etc...

the other line may be tied to the EGR? not sure, what I would reccomend is have it idlign and get a can of carb cleaner. Spray around various vacuum lines until either the engine sputters, stumbles or revs a bit (some change in RPM)

then you found it

yeah dude tonna sh** is vacuum controled.

I can't really tell you what is leaking, you just gotta hunt for it yourself. Use carb cleaner and have it idling.

dude... that's a question I've asked myself 1023491 times. I had a 1994 ford explorer that had a bad vaccuum leak. could not find it for the life of me. Eventually it ended up being some goofy stupid line, the way I found it was we used this smoke generator machine and put smoke into the intake manifold and let it build up, and it came out wherever it was leaking! A way you can do this ghetto style is use a smoke bomb and put it in your intake tube... haven't tried it but I don't see how it wouldn't do the same thing
