cambered tires...any suggestions??
i have recently had a new set of tires put on my car (275's out back and 245's in front) problem is that the rear wheels seem to be cambered inwards wearing the insides faster than the outsides. i was just wondering what could be the cause...need new struts/shocks?? any help would be appreciated.

Under inflation? A lot of times if you run low tire pressure it will wear out the outside edge more than than normal, and vice versa if you over inflate it will wear down the center of the tire.

Yeah, that is strange. I could understand it better if you were driving a Cobra with independent rear, but the solid axle doesn't allow for too much negative camber; it will give some negative in certain circumstances. But definitely have a full rear suspension inspection, and check the tire inflation, which is a likely candidate.

well, i dont really hear any noises coming from the rear. i think i'll try a new shocks/struts and see if maybe it will be a little better. i really wanted to drop my car also but may have to re-consider if it is going to make it any worse!

If it a solid axle i dont see how new struts would do anything!! I have the same prob tho, but its not a lot of camber, you can see it when the tires wear way down but looking at it from the back you cant see the camber

i have the same problem, seems the outside wear faster than the inside. i keep 35psi in at all times and check pretty frequently and rotate when i get my oil changed, so every 3k miles.

i just had these tire put on...haven't even gone 3000 miles on them yet and i can already tell where the insides are wearing faster than the outsides. guess i'll have to just do frequent rotations and keep check of the tire pressure to make the tires last as long as possible.
