Exaust System?

I want to order a slp cat back for my 99 GT buy wanted to know if i should have it sent to my house or the shop that will do the install? I've never ordered one before so i dont know how big the box will be and as we all know mustangs cant hold too much.

Thanks,

It doesn`t matter how big the box is. It comes in pieces so you can take it all out of the box and put it in the trunk with no problem. I do have to say, install it yourself. Its very easy. The only part that sucks is cutting off the old exhaust. Save yourself the money and do it yourself. :D

You shouldnt have to cut off the old exhaust. It should be a simple bolt on.

How do you suggest getting the old exhaust off then without cutting it off? The only way possible without cutting is dropping the rear axle. Who wants to do that? [&:]

Is there welding involved?

No welding involved with the SLP system. Its an easy bolt on.

Option 3 would be to unbolt the factory cat-back from the H-pipe and disconnect all the catback hangers. You then should be able to pull the muffler and piping towards the front of the car to get it out. You will probably have to twist and turn it and use a jack to help give some more clearance around the axle, but it shouldnt be a difficult experience.
