Default burning oil,do nothing?

Well i am burning oil. About 1 quart every 1.5 months. It is buring, not leaking.
Now...its a 96 gt with almost 109k on it. Do I do anything about it, or just keep putting oil in it? I use the high milage oil, btw.
I don't want/can't dump alot of money into it as I am a poor college student. Any thoughts? this car does have to last me through school. Thanks

put an additive in there. i just switched my 100k miler 96gt to synthetic but i added a can of engine restore and so far oil pressure has stayed the same and no smoke. you could also use lucas oil stableizer, that has stuff for older engines and seals. what oil are you using? i would suggest the mobil clean high mileage. its regular mineral oil but is a cleaning oil and has stuff for higher mileage engines like ours.

You can use some kind of seal conditioning additive but i wouldn't worry about it too much unless it starts to smoke like a modded diesel at WOT.

Other than additives, which I would not really recommend, cause they are just hiding a problem, the only thing you can do is pull the engine and fix it. Otherwise just make sure it has oil in it every time you drive.

If the loss of oil isn't showing up as lots of smoke or fouled plugs I would leave it alone. No additives will help keep oil from getting around rings or valve seals.
