OK...i know alot of topics ont his but i couldnt find one that asked this question....

on and Auto with stock gears and u take off overdrive the rpms go up cuz ur running with less gear i think 4 cuz 5th would be overdrive or it might be 4th is overdrive so u would be on 3. Anyway the rpms go up so with say 4.10' i saw the if you took overdrive off would it do the same and even go higher? or woul dit only be at a lower rpm then the general forum info said on a 5 speed in 4th gear.

basically would overdrive still make a diff???

^Yes Overdrive still makes a diff for me.
just like with stock gears in there.
but of course the rpms are higher at all times...
but yeah cruising with OD OFF- click it on and yeah the RPMS drop.
and of course cruising with OD ON - click it off and yeah the RPMS jump up.

od will change on every car it has nothing to do with the gears it is the tranny that you are changing, tranny rpms change so will the engine rpms. they work together

just an overdrive question, is it just me or does the gas pedal get a little stiffer?

autos are only 4 gears, 1-2-3 and OD, the button just locks it out of OD, nothing more
