Default inner side of my rim -

I have beautifullllll chrome 18" saleen reps on my stang, question i had was on the inner side of the rims, from driving, it accumulates blackness.. should i worry about keepin it clean? its tough? or is there something i could get painted in there like a powercoated layer or somethin.. i just want it to continue to look flashy.. but i see the grime buildin up.. and i have only had the rims for 4 months.

i wouldn't worry about it......just keep the chrome clean.

but if it bothers you you could clean them up real nice.....tape them off and paint/clearcoat them. that'd make them easier to clean

Im pretty sure its a mixture of dirt and dust. Happens to me too. Its a bitch to keep clean, and since I have stock rims, I don't care right now, but when I do get my rims, I am going to keep the inners clean too. It makes it look 300% better.

i cleaned it once but its a PITA to get your hands back there and clean unless you take the wheel off. if you not going to a car show or anything just forget about it

it is mostly brake dust but it's tough to clean because the metal is porus and not smooth like the face of the wheels.

Clean it good once.

Put a good amount of wax on it and it'll wash right off.

It gets pretty annoying, especially after you wash your car, get your wheels nice and clean, go inside and have some lunch or something only to come out and find some streaks all over your wheels because some water dripped out from the inside of the dirty wheel and made a mess. [:@]

Haha dan, funny that you mentioned that. Happens to me all the time. Matter of fact, I just washed my car 2 hours ago, and I will be drying it shortly. Im looking foward to seeing my wheels are crapped up and having to clean them AGAIN before I pull her in [&:]
