Default Shorty headers or long tubes?

I am looking into getting some headers for my 98GT 5 speed. I am leaning towards the shorty design, because I have heard that the long tubes are a major pain to install and to work around once installed. I am getting a set of stage 1 Romeo heads, and will be pulling the motor to install them, so now would be the time to install the headers. But I am not realy sure which I sould get. Does any one have any horror stories to tell about the long tube headers? Is it a pain in the **** to work around the headers? Do you have to pull a header of to do a clutch job? Do you have to drop a header down to change the starter? Things like that are what I would like to know, to help me with my decision to go with the long tubes or the shortys. If I get long tubes, I will be getting the Mac headers. What would you all recommend if I get the shortys?
