Default Radator fan

I've got a 97 GT with the sohc 4.6 and the fan is starting to act up. Is there a dual fan unit out there that will bolt in the same place with the right connections? If so will it benfit me to get it? Another thing if there is not a dual are there any high performance fans that will help me run cooler at a reasonable price? Any ideas? I am open for sugestions.

The fan was making a funny noise the other day, and actually quit for a little while when it should have been running. It seems to running fine now but i want to be read to swap it out when it does go out completely.

Definitely do not put that on hold... Mine started making noises and like a week later the dam motor burnt up and I had to replace it on the side of the road in the rain.. It sucked none the less..

Did you go back stock or did you find something better?

Well, it was the motor that burnt up, so all I had to do was replace it. It comes apart from the fan itself with a couple of bolts.
