I know 4.10s are popular around here but I can hardly keep up with the shifting with 3.70s
Look at what you're driving. Very different trannies in the 2 cars, and you probably got a ****ton of torque. I can't wait to get my 4.10s.

Has anyone tried 4.56 gears?

local guy here has them in his mach 1....I wouldn't suggest them in a 2v motor.

4.10s or nothing

the problem is everyone "hears" from someone that 4.10s are bad, i would bet that 90% of the people who do have no experience with any gears.

I chose to go with 3.73's over 4.10's. I just don't like the idea of changing gears 4 times before I hit 50mph. I also don't want to drive around town at 35mph and be in 5th gear.

As far as the "feeling" goes in your car, changing gears will make a big difference. Acceleration will be faster, but your top end will come down a little. The newer mustangs have a very low 5th gear (overdrive). So cruising down the hwy at 65 will not be a big gas loss, just don't get out of 5th.

x2, 4.10s are about 200 RPMs higher then 3.73s, so instead of shifting at 2500 rpms or what ever just shift at 2700 and thats 3.73s

if you read what people who ACTUALLY HAVE THEM say, the 4.10's aren't bad at all (unless you dive 50 miles one way on the highway to work). listen to the people who have the gears. a lot of bs gets thrown around about gears because people hear something and repeat it. i've found that it helps a lot to just ignore people who don't actually have the gears
