The results wouldn't be the same for everybody's car anyway. One part might yeild significant gains on one car because of it's tune and additional mods and the same mod might actually cost you power on an otherwise stock car. That's why the manufacturers of the aftermarket parts always make such outrageous claims.....because they added the part to a highly modified car which was probably being restricted by the stock part......for example, If Code3GT put the stock airbox back on his car, put it on the dyno then swapped out to his aftermarket piece and put her on the dyno again, it would show huge gains, where that same piece would only be worth one or two HP on a stock engine.

the before and after dyno stuff rarely gets done for each and every mod unless it's the mod is a supercharger or something that requires a tune, then half the time the guy doesn't have baseline figures anyway.

Nobody dynos before and after they put on just a CAI or throttle body or something small like that.

My point is.....It's a good idea but I doubt the information exists.

My car has over 50 dyno runs on it with the new engine. The trouble with dyno sheets is that I didn't keep every sheet when changes were made. We changed things, ran the dyno, saw what difference it made on the dyno computer and changed accordingly. Also, like rb stated all synos read different and each car responds to mods differently.

Thanks guys, that kinda clarified things for me. They can claim whatever (the parts manufacturers) because in their reality/dyno/car tested it very well could be true. Gotcha.

Mod edit...I hit the edit button instead of the quote button. Sorry, I fixed it and posted my response below. Thanks

What I have learned with manufacturer's claim is this..take their HP gain claims and cut it in 1/2 (now that's kinda rough, but pretty close). Just my .02
