What rear end gear do you have? Did you say you already had a higher stall converter?

b/c do you have any idea how cool it is to see a GT run a 13.4 that has STOCK exhaust?
sounds/is bone stock.

So people do not see me coming.
when I pull back around to the staging lanes, people ALWAYS ask what is done etc...
and they always say WOW.
I've read you saying this before, I definitely think you went the smarter route performance wise because I would feel like an *** if I got schooled at the red light and I was under the impression you were stock. But its time to let the cat out of the bag, your car is ready and will really benefit from exhaust. I just cant belive your car bogs down like that at the end. Do you have 4:30's? You get exhaust and an aggressive tune and I think that car can break into 12's. Maybe I'm just too optomisitic about these little 4.6's.

joey, this is just from my limited experiances, but i think your trap is soo low because your 60' is soo good....

especially in an auto, with few power mods,, you dont have that much power, i mean, you have more than I do, but not a whole lot, just like you said.

that explains why you are trapping so low

i ran a 14.086@99.09 w/ 2.05 60'.. prior to that
i ran a 14.545@99.37 w/ 2.226 60'

by bringing my 60' down significantly, i brought my trap down ever further,,,
so lets pretend that the next time i go to the track, i manage something in the 13.6 range with a 1.8 60'.. it is VERY reasonable for me to expect to trap in the 98's,,

granted, alot of my trap i feel is my shifting, or, lack thereof....
perhaps a stall and shift kit can bring you into a tad lower 13 with another mph or two

what do you think?

Hello to all,
well this is my best time slip to date...

Mods are...
Gears
LC Arms
Drag Radials
Throttle Body
Plenum
CAI
UD Pulleys

STILL HAVE BONE STOCK EXHAUST.

60' times are 1.8 (high 1.8's and a lot of the time I will have the 1.901 or so)
and yes I do HOOK NICE lol.
My car hooks so nice, just like a slick.
MAX I have launched at is ALMOST 2k... about 1800+k
I have an AUTO incase your wondering why the launch is so low.

RT: .031
I1: 1.893
I2: 5.480
I3: 8.512
MPH(I3): 81.099
I4: 11.091
ET: 13.448
MPH: 98.840

Now I know GT's are not all that "powerfull"
so I do not expect trap speeds like an Ls1.
However with a 13.4 SHOULDNT I BE IN THE 100mph range?!

Is my timing to much advance?
is it b/c I do not have midpipe/catback yet?

What is the reason for this LOW MPH?
seems like in that last 320 FEET is where I really drag?......

I now have on my converter(3k stall) so I should shave some time off, but I highly doubt it will *** any MPH.

and its not like my "DRIVING" is bad. its very good as matter of fact, (I know driving is not as important on AUTO as it as MANUAL... but still I can launch very well etc...good driver)

So please help me out here.
THANKS!

What year is your car? That 1/8 trap looks pretty damn good. I never trapped over 80. ALWAYS 79.xx And I got out of the hole as you on occasion, but not all the time. I didnt have LCA, but I had every mods you do + exhaust. Your car runs really good if its a 99-04. Im also thinking that your exhaust is VERY restrictive. You are ramming alot of air in there, but putting out no more than stock. I wouldnt be suprised if full exhaust dropped you down to 13.0. Im willing to bet that I would have trapped over 100mph running about a 13.8 or so. I dont know what it is. What gear do you have?

^Hey, thanks for all the comments etc...appreciate it.
and yes Betty, I have caused quite a few little "beefs" around here lol.
by "schooling" guys with big loud exhaust etc... b/c I just hook and im gone.
and they just cant believe thats all the mods I have etc.. and yeah its been fun while it lasted...
but your right time to let whats coming into the engine- out of the engine.

Yes I have 4.30 gears installed.

^yeah 72MACH... that makes me feel a little better to see that your times did the same thing.
you 60' drop'd and so did your trap.
sounds just LIKE MINE.

My car is a 2004 GT. (13k Miles on it)

^and yes my 1/8 mile is NICE
guys running way better ETs then me... I will jump on them from the 60' and 330' and out to the 1/8 mile... but of course then that is where i seem to "DIE" and they keep getting quicker.

Im going to install my o/r H PIPE and CATBACK see what kind of gains I get from it alone. (expecting the gains from the Midpipe more then Catback) [Since I ALREADY HAVE THE MID PIPE... or else Id just go Longtubes NOW0 but my midpipe is to long]

and make runs with it for a while etc...
then later LT's, with SHorty MidPipe, and Catback.

I will keep you posted on my times.
THANKS!

I kept wondering how you were running a 13.4 with your mods, even with a hella 1.8 launch. Knowing you have 4.30s makes alot more since.

SPRAY it

^yeah, well I am taking them out and installing 4.10's

according to many people I talk to at the track etc...
and also my calculations...

with 4.10's I will not even lose a .1th...
ill still run a 13.4 (maybe just a little higher of a 13.4)
and should gain some more top end, maybe 1-2 mph.
and also of course have more top end on the freeway etc.

I will most likely do that this week. (after I try out the midpipe/catback first)

wow dawg why no exhaust yet? Do that shiz up. Get yurself some nice SLP loudmouth 1's or 2's and ull be seeing 100 mph traps. I dont understand why people start to modify their cars and completely skip the exhaust. A catback was the first thing i did to my car, because not only does it sound good but it wakes it up a bit, and many people on the forums and that i knew recommended exhaust and CAI be my first mods.

Gears should always be the first mod.

JoeyD!!! You have a 3000 stall correct? What brand converter did you buy and is it a 9 or 10inch unit. How much did it cost etc. I'm looking to beef up my auto as well. PM me please!
