RE: Cross drilled & slotted rotors 4 for
if shadowdrake got the ones that were not supposed to rust then i dont know...
which type of rotor is strictly personal preference.
i feel confident in the 13in drilled/slotted rotors to hold my power level

Well my rotors were on the cheap side ($75 a piece)... I can always have them coated. Like I said, they have gotten wet before (when washing my stang) and they didn't rust... but when this crazy condensation formed on EVERYTHING, they developed rust within like 20 minutes, you could see them rusting in front of your eyes, it was pretty cool. I may take them off at some point and have them zinc coated... but it's not worth it for now.
Having them both slotted and drilled looks great, and I haven't seen any reliability problems... if I break them, I'll report it, but the slotting isn't deep, and the holes are tiny and have a little taper. The rotors are very solid, I doubt the drilling/slotting is reducing their durability.
Edit: I'm not sure about the red calipers on a DSG stang... it would probably look nice, but then again I like the look of the red calipers. And cahtr6, aren't your rotors on backwards? The slotting is supposed to go the other way [&:]
