Default Dyno'ed Today

Well, just like the caption says, I went to a local mustang shop today to get a few baseline pulls... Needless to say I was quite impressed... Granted, I do have a MAC CAI and UPR O/R X-pipes but I must say I was surprised with my pulls... First run was 256.3 HP and torque around 300.. Second pull after the car cooled down netted me 261.4 HP and a whopping 310 torque... I was quite happy to say the least... Now I can start the slow process of modding a lil bit more... Most of the guys at the shop were thinking I could be in the 280 Hp range with just a few more bolt ons.... hehehehehe

Cool man, I am taking my MAC CAI off next week, it's from the map to the fender with air filter. I made a new section from the other side of the map to the 75mm T-body becaues I didn't like that part of the kit from MAC. Get UDP's and upper intake, that will help with mpg and hp.

yeah, I think the next things on my list will be a 70mm TB and plenum then maybe the UDR's... Then I can still get a tune as well... I was just really impressed to see it put down those #'s with a stock tune...

dynojet numbers...they always make you feel good. Are you sure you only have an x-pipe and CAI? even on a dynamometer thats around 242 rwhp which is about 10 more hp than it should be making with those mods. Either way...good looking numbers.

Yup pretty sure since all that has been done to the car was by me... The guys who did the dyno were all thinking before the first pull that it would be around 235-245 but after the first pull they all started getting kinda excited.... After the cool down, it made what you seen on the sheet.. I was quite surprised like I said.. When I left the shop, I was being told that I had a factory freak sorta kinda...none-the-less, it made my day....

YEah take the factory freak thing to the garbage. You don't have one.

Several factors play into why your numbers are higher, they could possibly be inflating numbers.

You might see 280RWHP at the same shop with a couple more mods, but if you go to a shop that operate a dyno correctly or use a mustangdyno without inflating numbers, you'd be lucky to see the numbers you made today.

This is why I don't like dynos, people think the numbers mean more than what they really do. I am not bashing you Countrygent, I just want people to realize that a dyno is not the end all be all, and that comparing dyno numbers can never really be done accuratly. There are just too many factors at play here.
