Default Another question about tuners

I am in the market for a tuner for my mustang GT. But what I would like to know is everyone's general preference of SCT XCAL2 vs. the Diablo Pred.

As I understand, the PRED gives you access to air/fuel tables and you can make your own tunes, whereas with the SCT, you buy tunes. The SCT can read problem codes whereas the PRED cannot. The SCT is PC compatable, whereas the PRED is...not so much... please correct me if I am wrong, I likely am

And, is the two-step REV limiter the SCT comes with on Mustangtuning the program that sets launch RPM?

They both do pretty much the exact same thing. The Predator used to be able to read DTC's, so I don't see why it can't now. Contact local tuning shops/dynos and see which company they use, and buy that brand of tuner.

I've hear the new x-caliber 2 is a really good unit and very flexible.
