Well, i dont have one, so i suppose i shouldnt be posting, but i look at their site (kennebell.net) like every other day . I want a 1.7 as well. It seems like their kits are pretty complete and they have dyno charts of the different boosts on a stock gt. I am guessing close to 6K when all is said and done. Arent you the kid with the 4.0 deal?

yeah i got a 4.0 on my progress report and its at the end of the year so it should be pretty easy to keep it so im starting to seriously look. I just called a site that did a full KB 1.7 kit and tune they said it cost 7 grand. that is super expensive. what is the next best option as fas as low price and quality.

Contact KB, their 9psi 1.7L kit is sold for 4900+shipping, then figure out how much it would be to install (if you aren't doing the work yourself), then talk to your parents about price.

Hopefully Blue70 will chime in on if you need anything more than the base kit.

if you go 18 psi on a stock modular motor you can start the car up at night and say to your self, wow look at that shooting star, and then realize its your pistons getting blown to hell, you are going to have to forge the motor for that much boost.

First, the 1.7 doesn't go to 18 psi, second, since I guess you noticed the 18 psi part in his signiture, you should have also noticed that he said he had two of them. You should know that you can't run more than one twin screw or roots supercharger. He was just being silly with his signiture as he doesn't have a supercharger right now.
