Default New GT Conv. 2003 with TOOTHY 2nd gear

Anyone have any problems with a "toothy" second gear?

I just bought this 2003 GT convertible USED with 9800 miles....

The "toothiness" happens more so when cold.....when the car warms up it behaves a bit more normally....still a bit rough, but not as toothy.....

Anyone have any ideas of what could be the problem???
ANY info would be greatly appreciated.....

Thanks,
Jeff

sounds like you ragged it abit,,,need to take to dealer ,,warr, work ,,but look out they will rag it too,,harder than you do ,,, i know i worked at a dealer before i know what really happens when you leave your car,,they take it to lunch,, pick up girls walking on side of the rode,,etc..dont want to scare you anymore ,,i would suck it up and fix it myself,,,

Waht I mean is that it grinds for about a few clicks (1/10th of a sec) when it goes into second.....and yes the clutch is all the way down.........

any ideas of what kind of driver was the prev owner, thats the problem of buying "pre-owned" cars, you shouldnt be having probs, that car is supposed to be new..

Yup...I totally agree.......

It seems if I take first gear to like 3,000 RPM then shift its fine.....

Its when I take it REAL easy is where there's problems....

Its kinda funny....almost as if it likes to be driven kinda rough.
