Default Cutting springs

At the moment, I am saving for the eibach sportlines and C/C plates, a friend suggested cutting springs, how/where should they be cut, and is this dangerous? can it cause the spring to weaken so much that it will damage the suspension? I'm wondering if I should wait 8 more months, or do it now... thanks

Do Mach's have prog. rated springs like the cobras?

If so, then it is safe to cut a coil off or so, since it won't change the spring rate.

600 lb Helical coil, rubber-insulated, unique linear rate (front)
250 lb Helical coil, rubber-insulated; unique linear rate (rear)

Dunno if that tells you if they are similiar to the Cobra's

Yea, you might as well just buy some springs. They aren't very expensive, and they won't give you any problems
