would a 5.0 motor out of an earlier mustang drop right into my 4.6L SN95? I ask b/c it seems like the 5.0s can make more power than the 4.6 and are simpler to take apart.

will it fit? Yes. I dont know if the t45 will bolt right up to it either... and I know you would need a new computer and wiring harness... would be about the same amount of crap to change as swaping in a 4v.. if not more.

you'll have to get a new k-member to...it's not worth it, it'd be a lot easier to just by a sn-95 5.0 and sell ur car....

Me too, you can find one in average condition for anywhere between 3500-6500 dollars. I bought my first stang (1994 GT) for 6200 in 2002 with 80K on the clock. It just wouldnt be worth the time and money IMO to swap.

why don't you just get pi heads and intake? the 99-04 4.6 puts out more power than the sn95 5.0

try federal law, it is against the law to place an older engine into a newer chassis. It is legal to drop a 351W into any 1995 since the Cobra R came with one, but it needs all smog equipment for the R code put into that car also. There are little technicalities that you need to check on before doing an engine swap. It is also against federal law to remove factory smog and safty equipment. So, you are breaking the law if you remove and do not replace your cats and air bag
