2001 Bullitt, Please tell me what I can do to this engine to get from 265 hp to 350 hp short of a turbo or a super charger.
2). I am in Germany and run long distances at high speeds, 200 miles at 110+ mph, I am topping out right now at 145-155mph and I run out of gears, what gear ratio set up would I need to be able to run, say, 165-170 mph. Some of the German family wagons kick my *** at the top end speeds, I got them all off the line, light to light, but top end I lose out. I mean against 2.5 liter, I-6's in the Bimmers, I have 4.6ltr V8, no way I sould be losing this battle.
Thanks

If a family wagon has the aerodynamics for those high speeds, I'm sure there's something you can do. Didn't some older GTs have ~2.73 gears? Maybe he can interchange for that.
As far as power, i think you'll definitely need headers, full exhaust and camshafts.

a mustang is not really ment to run at 150+ on the autobone. its more of a low end grunt car. but higher gears will kill you low end speed which is beating the cars off the line.

That is what I am worried about, I don't want to lose out low end. Damn this sucks I gotta give credit to the Germans, don't know how they pull it, Porsche GT 3 0-60 4.4 secs top end 180 mph and can run at that speed ....say FOREVER

You just need another gear. As for arrow once you surpass about 165 or so the car will change, in feeling as it will seem to surpass the wishy washy feel that many mustangs get at higher speeds. An R spoiler realy helps, as it wasnt designed just for looks. gear up a bit. and then get you some good tires. You will be supprised, those cars are all there cracked up to be.

get yourself a Ford GT, you'd eat anything.

Not saying that if I was given one I would not take it,but even if I had that kind of cash flow, I would not buy one. I love my bullitt and the Germans love it too. A Mustang in the states is a Mustang, over here it is like seeing a nice porsche in the states....not something you see everyday. I get challenged alot off the line and I win 99 % of the time, it is the autobahn topend stuff that is killin my mood. My 530i can cruise at 155-160 no issue, but the point is that my 530i is a 3.0 liter Inline 6 and the mustang is a 4.6 liter V 8, there should be no competition. Hell My X3 can cruise at 135mph all day and it is only a 2.5 liter I6.
