Default 02 CAI on a 98

im wondering if a mac CAI off of a 2002 gt fit on a 1998 gt.. because i found a used CAI in grate shape for a reall good price.. if so will there be any modifications i would have to make in order to use that CAI or is it just a simple install?. and is there anything wrong with buying used CAI'S any downfalls?

A CAI in the first place isn't really worth the money, it doesn't add much, if any horsepower. Very poor hp/$ value. It will probably fit, but it won't fit perfectly... it should be good enough.

True, a CAI alone will add very little grunt to your Mustang. Now, if you do the intake shuffle, new plenum, throttle body AND complete CAI, you have a combination that bring back some results.
