i just bought a 2000 mustang gt with 55,000 miles.

the idle in neutral slowly lowers and raises by about 400 rpms or so.. and also in neutral if i put the brake to the floor the idle will lower quite a bit and go up again when i let off. Are these things normal? any help would be appreciated

they all do the same thing, the idel likes to "hang" alot when taking them out of gear and going into netural and when you step on the clutch when driving in gear. also mine lawers to about 500 when i press the brake pedal down to the floor, the master cylinder is working hard pumping the brake oil.

well mines an automatic but im sure it doesnt make a difference.. mine will continue to jump up and down for a long time
