suspension question

suspension question
I have a vert and it needs lowering springs badly. I think I am going to go with supersports like everyone here suggested. I know I will need cc plates and an alignment if I lower it that much, but will I need shocks and stuts as well? If I don't get shocks and struts then what will be the consequences? Is it just a bad ride quality or can it do damage? Also, are there any particuler cc plates that I should go with or will any do?

RE: suspension question
Yea you are gonna need new shocks and struts. You can be cheap and buy fox-body shocks/struts or you can get some aftermarket shock/strut preferably adjustables.

RE: suspension question
Ride on the stock shocks & struts on lowering springs, and they will crap out. Your ride quality will suck too. Your car will ride VERY stiff. Get yourself some new shocks & struts and do it proper. It won't hurt anything to wait a month or 2 to replcae the shocks and struts (they shoudl last that long and longer....) But, it's just easier and smarter to do it all at once. Check out my "how-To" in the sticky section. It will show you exactly what you need to do to replace them. It isn't hard, just takes aa few tools, most of a Saturday, and a friend
