Default driveshaft

What are the advantages to an aluminum driveshaft? Is it worth it?

I understand that. Will this allow you to rev faster, not lose so much HP in your drivetrain or is there something else.

i was reading an article and the aluminum and carbon fiber were being discussed, i guess carbon fiber REALLY makes it nice, its only about 10 lbs and i guess it REALLY feels better, and it can take more twist then anything, also the slack if you are going like 60 and take your foot off and hit the gas again really quick that CLUCK in the the rear end, like slop, it eliminates that i guess, its supposed to be nice, the way i look at it, ANYTHING that saves gas is worth it, it makes your car easier to take off and less rotating mass which would have to improve mileage a BIT, it would be worth it in the long run but they are like $800 sooo

mustangtuning.com has them for $270. Install should be fairly easy.

ya lighter is better, the less rotational weight you have the more power you can get to the wheels quicker and it would at least take of a few hundreths off at the track and the install is a snap.

Yea i would make a combo goes Aluminum Flywheel and Aluminum Driveshaft that would gain a lot of that lost rotating power back. and save about 25lbs
