I just got a 97 cobra with a few mods on it. I looked at a few 01-04 GT's before i bought this. Its by far faster than any other stang i have owned and has a lot more potential. Honestly if i were you id go with the cobra. My insurance shot up a little but its well worth it. Plus its a cobra!! So Id get it if i were you but i might be a little biased.

Neither one of them sounds like its what you really want. Keep looking around until you find that one that makes you happy in the pants the moment you see it.

Yeah I almost ended up with a 98 GT...luckily I was able to make myself wait a little and scrounge up the cash difference for a 2000 GT....AND by waiting I was super lucky bc I found my 00 gt in great condition, 61k miles for 7900! SCORE! lol

as i was reading the posts, i was waiting on someone to say that you'd be settling for either

just wait for something else to pop up

the mileage on that GT is way too high for the price, and i know there are some 96-98 Cobras in the 50's for about 12K as well

good luck man, and have fun with whatever you get
