Thanks, I didn't know if they made one for the mustang auto, searching google with only a little info (i.e. just the name) can be a headache.[&:]

But in all seriousness, it makes your trans shift only when you shift. You can get them with a "D" setting as well, then 1-2-3-4 when you want it. I think Baumman engineering makes some.
well if your in 1 or 2, your in 1 or 2, and the 4W70 tranny is programed for sport shifting as first and second are manual valve bodies and if you do 1-2-D or D-2-D it will firm up the shift.

Ok, now, as you go around a corner, slam it from D to 2 and watch as you leave a pretty stream of trans fluid all over the road.

Sorry, what I mean is that the AODE/470RW (I forget the order) are quite possibly the SLOPPIEST WORST WEAKEST PIECE OF **** TRANSMISSIONS EVER!

They SUUUUUUUCK in stock form.

After my PI swap + 4.30's it couldn't keep up and I would HAVE to shift by hand 1-2. and 3rd gear would bury itself (6200+ RPMS). Talk to anyone, the AODE is a piece of crap. The NEW 5 speed autos are a little bit better.

no you can sport shift with teh 4R70W, but if you treat them right they will last for a long time, they just suck at preformance

Treat it right as in don't sport shift, or as in change fluids regularly?
