Vortech or Saleen Supercharger??

Vortech or Saleen Supercharger??
Well, I am going to try and save up for a supercharger in the next two months. I figure I'm young and I won't have this kind of money to throw around when I get older. I know a guy around me who will sell me his saleen series 2 supercharger, with goodies(small pulley, fuel pump, injectors, chicane ripp kitt...) for 2500. I am really interested because it's a decent price and it can be difficult for me to save money. Or I could buy a vortech base kit for like 3500. Which whould you guys do??

The saleen series 2 blower isn't the best. With the smaller pully I would think like 340rwhp, not 100% sure tho. I would really like the vortech, but it all takes money. Anyone else have an opinion??

He should be more than 340rwhp. I'm thinking 360ish. If it was a series four then it'd be about the same as the KB 1.7 kit. Around 400 rwhp. I'd say go with the vortech out of those 2 options.

I can guarentee you won't make 400 to the wheels on a 1.7L kit with just exhaust.

I believe the saleen series 2 s/c kit is actually not even a twin screw. The series IV kit is twin screw but I think the series 2 is a roots type...
