Default Soon to be a 4.6 owner Just looking for some info

Hey guys this is my first time to this forum, a newbie to the V8's, as of now I own a 96 5-speed 3.8L, I am going to swap in a 4.6L, what I was looking for is as long as I'm going to have this engine out, could someone throw me some idea to what to do with the eninge as far as adding more HP and rebuilding(i.e. pistons, cam, upper & lower intakes, ect....), and if you could give me some web site that had some info on engine upgrades, Thanks alot everyone, I really appreate any help that you can give to a newbie of the 4.6.

good luck on the swap...depends how much cash you have also...you could build the engine very strong, but ide turbo it and run around on safe psi before i built the motor.

It really depends do you plan on T/C S/C or just staying NA if you go with any I would rebuild. Now from there if you go T/C or S/C get some nice dished pistons if you go NA get some domed pistons. One thing if you do rebuild at least get everything balanced. I go a step further and get certain parts coated by swain tech and cryo treated. Just all depends on how much $$ you got and want to spend. If you want to go cheap then just get the stock parts balanced and coated and run some boost...

I just finished my rebuild. I just need to drop the engine back in. I hope to have it back in this weekend.

My new engine setup:

01 PI Heads P&P Fox-Lake Stage 2
Oversized Valves
Comp Valve Springs
VT Engines Blower Cams
-19cc Diamond Dished Pistons
Manley H Beam Rods
Cobra Crank
FRPP Hi-Vol Oil Pump
VT Engines Billet Oil Pump Gears
BBK LT Headers
SPEC Stage 2 Clutch & Flywheel

I can put up to 18 pounds of boost with this setup.

I've got a ton of pics of the rebuild too.
