Default Heads & Cams worth it?!?!

I'm thinking about doing heads and cams on a 04 Mach 1 with JLT intake, UDP's, tb, and a full SLP exhaust. How much power will I get? I dont know if its worth going it or not.

Its gonna be COSTLY on a 4v

Put a blower on instead for way more power and drivablity.

There always worth it. I would just get your stock heads ported out instead of buying aftermarket.

But 2000gt gives an even better answer. More power that way.

I was thinking of going with a ATI Procharger but I hear that it would be running on saved time due to the fact that it has high compression. Don't get me wrong I would love to through a blower on my car. (i have the money) But I dont want the engine to blow. I hear guys putting down over 400 to the wheels with a blower.

Depends on the boost you run.

Heads + cams for a 4v is going to be SUPER expensive. You can spend just about as much (if not less) and get a blower. I am not positive but I think the Machs have the same compression as the GT's, don't count on that though. At, or under 9psi and you'll be just fine.

I think Mach's have 10:1 compression

If he supercharges it... so much for the shaker.

No...as long as he stays away from top mount. (KB's twin screw). Centris will work with the shaker. The intake still comes from the fender on a Mach 1 much like that of a GT.

If you can afford to spend the money on a super, I would. If you can't afford that much money at once, ported stock heads and some cams are a great mod.
