un bolting pressure plate and flywheel

RE: un bolting pressure plate and flywheel
yep I'm doin the synchros. The tranny aint' that bad (SO FAR) once it's out, because the gearbox is only 1 foot deep.
That sounds like a great idea using the angle iron. I have run into that problem! The pressure plate bolts came out with a ratchet and tapping with a hammer, but the flywheel will take more work.
And yes I have a FelPro rear main ready to go in, along with the oil pan gasket.. ::sigH:: anyway have a great one guys I really appreciate your help

RE: un bolting pressure plate and flywheel
all right well I brought the pressure plate and clutch disc home (old ones) so I can make a little angled iron home made tool.
Now I have a question regarding the clutch. The disc looks pretty thick, almost newer, but it's like wearing only on the outside 1/2 edge of the disc! That part is worn but the middle still looks almsot new. Also, the pressure plate and flywheel look very good in terms of material left but they are discolored and stuff. Once the flywheel is off it's getting redone, and well the pressure plate is new so hopefully this will all work like butter when done

I'm putting mine back together also. I'm putting in another motor. I bought it with a bad motor. It looks to me like the bolt holes on the crank are off set so the flywheel will will only go on one way. I checked the spacing with dail calipers.
