If i go to the ford dealer ship and give them my VIN number, will they tell me if ive already had my plastic intake (the one with the whole huge recall and court stuff) replaced?

i was just wondering, because i remember reading something on here that since theyve settled it now officially, i only have like, 90 days or something from that date to get it fixed or reimbursed for having it already fixed (which i dont know if i do or not)


so can the mechanics there, or the computer guys using my VIN, tell me if its already replaced ?

I know that chevy has a computer system that keeps track of warranty work so I would assume that Ford does as well. Its worth a shot to at least ask. Got nothing to loose.

That answer is YES! I bought my mustang used from a dealer and they ran the VIN, and I knew everything that was done to the car, ie the only thing done on warranty was the Hi-mount stoplight bulb.

^^^yes but this depends where the work is done, if its at a ford dealership, the most definatly

if its at marks backyard car depot, then maybe not.....

but most things should show up on their computers

yup. I took my car to my dealer and they had no record of it. Not to mention I still have the plastic fu**ing intake. When it breaks I'm gonna be pissed a while, then I'll buy a PI intake manifold

and finailly, did i make up the part about having a limited number of days? or is that true?

i'd get it done but they said they won't do it for free. It's something I"m perfectly capable of doing myself and if I have to do it myself I"m waiting until it dies and then I'm upgrading

there is a recall, they have to do it for free if its the stock plastic manifold you've got
