Default Inexpensive, but nice Mod

I just put Urethane Rack bushings on my car $24., Maximum Motor Sports. Car now is like POWER-POWER steering, it turns in alot quicker, reacts nicely, you can feel the tire adhesion much more predictably, no bad vibes through wheel. To do the job (some guys asked) Remove steering shaft from rack 13 mm socket 12" extension, remove rack retention nuts, 18mm nut, 15 bolt head rear of K member. Pry and shake rack off tube, it will drop nicely out of the way without removing PS lines or anything. Lube tubes with anti-seize, pull out old bushings from front and rear of rack. Push in new bushings front and rear of rack with fingers. Carefully align bushings with tube and shake and push rack onto tubes slightly. Take a 2 X 4- 12" long and a heavy hammer and drive the rack onto the tubes by hammering alternately side to side on bushing faces till the rack is home. The new bushings are A LOT tighter than the old, thus requiring a sound beating! Reassemble and tighten all fasteners, ENJOY!

I decided to skip the poly bushings and went straight to aluminum offsets to compensate for my drop springs. Much better feedback from the steering now. Poly or Al, either one is an improvement.
