Default MIL's and the light

I just put on an o/r x-pipe and it became known to me that i needed MIL eliminators. and my question is that if the signal for the MIL's is sent to the computer does that effect performence or economy (having the check engin light on)? . P.S. the Mil eliminators will be in this week i was just wondering.

all it does is tell your computer the cats are there and still working, so your computer is actually getting fooled it is stock when your exhuast is breathing much better, and sounds much better

You need MIL eliminators, they send a signal to your PCM telling it all is well with your cats, those rear O2 sensors just report converter efficiency. Your front O2's maintain your mixture, they are essential for proper operation.

Will a programmer get rid of the check engine light?

Yes it will if you are considering one, otherwise $50., is cheaper than $350-$400. for a programmer.

i got mils and mechanical oxygens sensor sims.....and let me tell you, just go with the tuner, its more, but #1 you get more power, custom tuning however you want it, plus you can SHUT OFF your rear 02's cuz the worst part about the $50 mils is the oxygen sensor still needs to be WORKING,....so if they go bad you gotta buy new, new=70 bucks a PEICE!!!! buy the TUNER!!!!!

I know what MIL eliminators do but does it change the comp or performence by not having um in. like does the computer try fix it by leaning it out or somthing like that w/o them in.

what do you mean 'not having them in' !?!?!? oxygen sensors(rear) are still in then the mils plus in-between where the o2 plus into the cord going back from the computer, just basically looks like a extension....those dont effect the fuel mix....
